A Way of Life
Spirituality is not religion to
The American Indian,
It is a way of Life.
The right to be part of your Tribe
The right to marry the woman you Love
The right to have children with your wife
The right to raise your family in the old ways
To tell your children that the creator loves
All that he has created
And is joyful when his children within the circle of life
And that he cries when his children stray from the circle
For only those who can find their way back
Will be able to cross over and be with their loved ones
Who have walked on before them?
Always remember, they are not gone, they are not lost.
They are watching and waiting just beyond the mist
Their hearts and prayers are with us always
And the Creator's arms are always open to you
As the good shepherd rejoices at the return of a lamb.
So the Creator rejoices at the return of his children.
